Bulk Carrier Grab Crane 50-100t – Hydraulic Deck Crane
Product Introduction
The MAXTECH Heavy‑Duty Grab Deck Crane is a deck‑mounted crane specially designed for bulk cargo handling, widely used on bulk carriers, barges and transhipment vessels. Lifting capacity ranges from 50 to 100 tonnes, and the working radius is customised to the vessel, typically 8 to 30 metres.
The crane comes standard with a hydraulic grab, which provides strong closing force to easily handle coal, ore, grain, fertiliser, scrap and other bulk materials. The grab opening and closing are independently controlled by the hydraulic system, ensuring fast and efficient grabbing. The hoisting mechanism and grab closing mechanism can be synchronised: the grab closes during the hoisting motion, significantly reducing cycle times. The crane can achieve 25 to 30 cycles per hour, greatly improving discharge efficiency.
The boom is made from high‑strength steel, and the connection points between the grab and boom are specially reinforced to withstand impact loads. The structure is designed to FEM standards (A6–A8 duty class), suitable for high‑intensity continuous operation.
The cab offers excellent visibility and ergonomic comfort, allowing the operator to clearly see the relative position of the grab and the hold for precise handling. The grab capacity (typically 5 to 20 m³) and lifting capacity can be customised to customer requirements, and classification society certificates (BV, ABS, CCS, NK, LR, etc.) are available.
